Why Study at the University of Murus Theological Institute?

The University of Murus College of Theology is a non-denominational institution that aims to train workers for all branches of the church. Through rigorous scholarship and the nurturing of faith, our Theological Institute or College prepares students in rigorous research, learning, and spiritual growth. Faculty and students work together to study original biblical languages (Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek), analyze theological texts, drawing conclusions for practical application in life and work.

University of Murus Theological Institute was founded in 1986 as a non-degree granting institution and has gone through many changes and challenges until now. It was once know as Pascagnus Bible, and later Pasca Bible College. It is distinctive in its affirmations about reality, the human condition, and faith.

Mission Statement: The mission of the University of Murus Theological Institute is to serve the Church throughout the world by preparing its leaders, through a program of undergraduate and graduate theological education, based upon the authority of the inerrant Word of God, and committed to the foundational biblical faith.

Philosophy: The mission of the University of Murus Theological Institute defends the cardinal doctrines of the faith and has rejects ministry movements and philosophies that disparage these doctrines.

Students are trained to do the following:

Think critically and write clearly

Interpret Scripture in the original languages based on sound hermeneutics.

Develop a sound methodology to assess theological issues.

Teach original adult-level lessons in Bible/theology.

Compose original scholarly writings in Bible/theology.

Develop advanced-level analyses of biblical books, themes and doctrines.

Evaluate key contributors, literature, theories, trends and movements in the fields of biblical and systematic theology.

Our goal is to train researchers, teachers, pastors, writers, thinkers, workers for the church in all its branches in biblical languages, theological studies, and theological writing
